Nepali presides over NLDC-UK

Dharma Raj Adhikari (LONDON): The eighth executive committee of of Nepali Literature Development Council-UK has been formed in the presidency of journalist Khagendra Nepali amid a special program on Sunday at the Queens College.

The new executive committee was formed unanimously. Other members of the committee are Komal Prasa Malla and Dhurva KC (Co-Presidents), Birendra Kunwar as first vice President, Gokul Bhandari as second vice president, Dr Sudha Shrestha as General Secretary, Gopal Prasad Kandel as Treasurer, Co-General Secretary Sushila Karki.

Similarly Moti Raj Bhandari, Gyanendra Rawat, Durga Pandey, Binod Neupane and Dinesh Paudel have been nominated as members.

Election officer Krishna Bhatta said that the members were announced unanimously as there was no second nominations for any of the posts. The new committee has been handed over the responsibility on the very day.

NRN UK President Kul Acharya, FNJ-UK President Naveen Pokhrel and FNJ-UK secretary also assisted and monitored the election process.

After being elected to the Presidency, Nepali pledged to continue the tasks initiated by the earlier committee and contribute in preserving Nepali language and literature.
