Nepali media entrepreneur gunned down in India

KATHMANDU: Managing Director of Bindas FM 94.8 MHz of Birgunj, Santosh Gupta, 31, has been murdered by an unidentified gang at Motihari of India last night.

The FM run by Baba Broadcasting Company had come into operation just three months ago with the initiative of Gupta, a resident of Raxual, India.

Officials of Bindas FM said that Gupta had gone for Motihari for the office work on Friday.

According to Indian Police, Gupta’s body was found at Dhaka Chiraiya near Motihari of Champaran in Bihar, India, this morning.

Superintendent of Police of Parsa, Pitambar Adhikari, said no formal information about Gupta’s murder was received so far. Police received

information after different media houses disseminated news on Gupta’s murder, he added. Adhikari also said that investigations into the case were underway. RSS
