Nepali band Nepathya performs in London
Meelan Wagley, LONDON: Nepali band Nepathya performed at the O2 Academy Brixton in London on Saturday night.
More than 4000 people had thronged the venue to witness the popular Nepali band’s show. As front man Amrit Gurung sang, the audience, majority of them the members of Nepali Diaspora, sang with him.
The show started with a new number from Nepathya’s yet to be released 10th album – Kuroop anuhaar ho… yahan kohi saathi chhaina…
Tuned by Vikram Gurung and written by Sarubkhata, Nepathya presented this in a psychedelic theme.
Gurung then sang one of the band’s all-time hit Chhekyo chhekyo deurali danda..
“It is fun to see people love our music,” Gurung said, “With every show, we get motivated to move on to the next one”
Along with other hit numbers, Nepathya presented four new songs, including Nainaataala, Koshi ko Paani and Raama Raama, from the album.
