KATHMANDU: Nepal thrashed hosts Kyrgyzstan 8-2 in a match of the ongoing Nadezhda Cup Football Tournament, 2019.
Nepal scored six goals in the first half and two in the second half. For Nepal, Sabitra Bhandari hit four goals singlehandedly.
Likewise, Anita Basnet and Dipa Rai scored two each. Captain Niru Thapa contributed one goal. Nepal is scheduled to face Uzbekistan on Monday. The total four teams—Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan—are competing in the match.
