Auckland: The Non-Resident Nepali Association, New Zealand (NRNA NZ), organized Nepal Night, a fundraiser event in Auckland, on 17 Feb. to support Samata Schools, also known as Bamboo Schools, in Nepal.
Around 500 Nepali and Non-Nepalis attended the cultural event at Mt Eden War Memorial Auditorium Main Hall in Mt Eden. Main attractions of the night were live Nepali cultural performances, traditional Nepali food and Nepali arts and crafts for display and also for sale.
The organizers informed that the cultural performances started by playing national anthems of Nepal and New Zealand. Individual as well as group performances were done by Nepali children and youngsters living in Auckland.
