Nepal Ex vice president Jha reiterates for Hindu State
KATHMANDU: Former Vice President Paramananda Jha has said the Hindu state could not be established due to financial gluttony during the draft of the constitution despite overwhelming majority of Hindu population in the country.
Addressing a religious programme organized by the Guru Gorakshanatah International Foundation and Nepal Bishwa Hindu Mahasang here today, former Vice President claimed that peoples’ suggestions were not incorporated in the constitution.
The ex-vice President further noted that he had put his reservations on the constitutional provision of establishing secular state. Similarly, former lawmaker Bhikshu Ananda and former chief Judge Gyaindra Bahadur Shrestha among others opined for the restoration of Hindu state.
