Nepal defeats England’s MCC by five wickets

KATHMANDU: Nepal beat Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) of England by 5 wickets in a cricket match held at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Monday. Electing to bat first after winning the toss, MCC made 201 runs in 39 overs all out. For Nepal, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi and Sharaff took four wickets each. Abhinash Bohara and Karan KC claimed one wicket each.
In the chase of the 202 runs target posted by MCC, Nepal achieved it in 37.3 overs at the loss of 5 wickets.
For Nepal, Binod Bhandari remained unbeaten on 52 with four boundaries and two sixes. Likewise, Paban Sharaff remained unbeaten on 38. Sharad Bheshwakar hit 24, Dipendra Singh Airee 23, Captain Gyanendra Malla 10 and Ishan Pandey four runs.
