Nepal Constituent Assembly to deliberate on Restructuring Commission report

All India Radio: In Nepal, the Constituent Assembly is to deliberate on the report of the State Restructuring Commission from tomorrow. This was informed by the Constituent Assembly Chairman, Subhash Chandra Nemwang after the report was tabled in the Assembly in Kathmandu on Sunday.

Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai had given the report to Mr Nemwang on 2nd of February .The report was tabled in the Constituent Assembly after the parties had failed to come into come into an understanding. The State Restructuring Commission which was formed on 23rd November last year to suggest a model for federal structure.

However, due to differences within the Commission, two reports were submitted , one suggesting a eleven state model, while the other group suggested a six model state.
