Nepal Army Chief conferred with Honorary Rank of Indian Army

KATHMANDU:
President of India Pranab Mukharjee presented an insignia of Honorary Rank of General of the Indian Army to Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Gaurav Shamser JB Rana amidst ceremony at the Rastrapati Bhawan in New Delhi, India on Tuesday.
CoAS  Rana is presently on an official visit to India since January 6 at the invitation of his Indian counterpart General Bikram Singh.
Meanwhile, CoAS Rana met with the Indian Defense Minister on Monday afternoon and also attended the banquet hosted by General Bikram Singh later in the evening. On the occasion, Indian Army Chief General Singh pledged to help modernization of the Nepali Army.
Likewise, CoAS  Rana met with Indian  National Security Counselor   Shiva Shanker Menon on Tuesday. He also visited the Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) today .
The Army Chief is scheduled to visit the Army War College in Madhya Pradesh tomorrow.
