Nembang still stresses on consensus to resolve political impasse

BHAKTAPUR: Former chairman of the constituent assembly, Subash Nembang has said the political consensus had no alternative to cope up present crisis.

Inaugurating the 3-day national child protection gathering organized by the National Child Protection Network, Nepal here on Monday, former CA Chairman Nembang warned that country would face serious crisis if the parties failed to forge consensus immediately.

It is not time to engage in blame game, but the time to remove constitutional and political vacuity, he added.

Leader Nembang further expressed doubt over the election to constituent assembly at a time the Election Commission and Supreme Court were facing manpower crunch.

On the occasion, former CA member Shanta Adhikari expressed worries that Nepal was getting listed as the country of child labour. She demanded a children-friendly constitution.

World Education representative Gopal Tamang said government needs to increase investment in establishing the rights of children.

Some 200 children from various child clubs have participated in the gathering where their problems would be discussed and measure of solution sought. RSS
