NEFIN shuts down Eastern Nepal
KATHMANDU: The day-long general strike enforced by Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) has affected life in the eastern Tarai since the morning.
The NEFIN imposed the general strike calling for promulgation of constitution that guarantees federalism.
Public transport vehicles are not plying on the branch roads as well as on the portion of the Mahendra Highway in Jhapa district, according to the District Traffic Police Office, Birtamod.
The general public is facing inconvenience due to the closure of the public transport services here. RSS
