NCP Chair Dahal defends his statement on Venezuela issue

CHITWAN: the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has reiterated his stance as expressed in the press statement he issued over the political crisis in Venezuela.
At a press conference jointly organized by the Press Chautari Nepal and Press Centre here on Thursday, chairman Prachanda said that the statement issued by him was political statement and it was issued with an objective of not tolerating any kind of external intervention on the internal affairs of any sovereign, independent country.
He further added that the statement on the same issue by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been issued on the same base and spirit as his statement.
The secretariat meeting in the presence of another chair and Prime Minister also concluded the same way therefore there was no confusion over the issue in the party, party chair Prachanda said.
On another note, chair Dahal said that the joint press statement from various foreign countries’ envoys on the peace process of Nepal even in the absence of Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister was irrelevant and unnecessary interest of these foreign diplomatic missions.
He also shared that the government was gaining speed in developmental agendas but it will take time to materialize vividly.
