NC led consensus government soon: Koirala

Biratnagar: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sushil Koirala has claimed that the national consensus government will be formed under NC’s leadership in the first week of coming Chaitra.

At a press meet organized here today by Nepal Press Union, Morang, leader Koirala further claimed the NC-led government will promulgate the new constitution.
The Maoist ex-combatants and their weapons should be managed first, he said, adding that the integration of armies will be undertaken at par with the Nepal Army’s criteria and no compromise will be made to this effect.

‘No agreement will take place with the Maoists and the previous seven-point is the final one. The NC is sticking to carry out works as per the seven-point accord’, Koirala added.
The NC President asserted that parliamentary democracy is the best forms of governance in Nepal as the country ahs already ushered into republic, inclusion and federalism.
On a query, he replied that almost all the political parties have agreed to make the provision of nominal numbers of provinces in the constitution and it would help in the development of provinces. RSS
