NC lawmakers to donate one month’s salary to flood victims

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the Nepali Congress central work execution committee has decided to deposit one month’s salary of its 207 lawmakers to the Prime Minister National Disaster Rescue Fund as the assistance to provide relief materials to the flood victims. 

The meeting, held at PM’s official residence Baluwatar on Sunday, also urged its leaders, cadres and well wishers to donate to a relief fund being established by the NC.
Talking to media persons following the meeting, party central member Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat informed that party’s lawmakers were depositing their one month’s salary to PM Natural Disaster Fund, while other leaders and well wishers could assist in the fund being set up by the party.
The meeting urged the party cadres to devote to rescue and relief operations in view of the national need. RSS
