Maoist politburo meet put off to hold talks with parties

KATHMANDU: A politburo meeting of the UCPN-Maoist has been put off due to busy schedule of party Chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

According to politburo member of the party, Haribol Gajurel, the meeting called for 3:00 pm today was put off as top leaders of the party including Chairman Dahal, Vice-chairman and Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, among others, are to participate in talks with other political parties.

Talking to RSS, Gajurel said that the meeting was postponed for bringing the budget for fiscal year 2012/13 by uniting all parties in the context that distance among political parties has been increased over the budget.

A meeting of the major political parties has been called for 4:00 pm today for making an end to the disputed issues including the budget. RSS
