Maoist front to mobilize cadres for national independence
KATHMANDU: The extended meeting of the Unified Newah National Liberation Front, one of the ethnic fronts of the CPN-Maoist, has decided to mobilize the people in the Kathmandu Valley and adjoining areas in support of national independence and constitution.
The extended meeting that concluded on Sunday took a decision to this effect, said the Front’s Convenor, Pawan Man Shrestha, in a press release he issued after the conclusion of the meeting.
The Front also decided to wage a struggle for the establishment of a single ethnic identity-based federalism and a Newah State with prerogative rights.
It called on the government not to return the land which the people had captured from the landlords during the conflict period to the landlords and to implement a scientific land reform policy. The Front demanded that the government also provide fertilizers to the farmers. RSS
