Unified Maoists decide to forward talks with political parties

KATHMANDU: The Unified CPN (Maoist) office bearers’ meeting has decided to forward the talks between the political parties to find a way out to the current political deadlock.

Talking to the media persons emerging from the meeting held at the residence of UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at Lazimpat today, Deputy Prime Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha said the meeting concluded taking decisions to give momentum to the talks and forge consensus among the major political parties.

Meanwhile, the General Convention Organizing Committee meeting of the party has been postponed for August 1 keeping in view the busy schedule of the UCPN-Maoist Chairman Dahal and other officials for the formal and informal talks among the political parties, he said.

The meeting discussed on making proper plan to implement the directives made by the extensive meeting, said Maoist leader Shrestha.

Chairman Dahal, Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha among other senior leaders of the party attended the meeting. RSS
