Maoist Convention: 150-member CC to be elected ‘unanimously’
Some 150 members would be selected for the central committee of the UCPN (Maoist) through the ongoing seventh General Convention of the party. However, no election would be held to select the members for the central committee.
The new team of the party’s central committee would be elected unanimously as no political and ideological rifts have surfaced after the exit of team Baiddya from the UCPN (Maoist), informed UCPN-Maoist spokesperson Agni Sapkota.
Ruling out the chance of formation of national representatives’ council, he said that the members of the central general convention organizing committee would be made alternative central members.
A total of 240 leaders are in the UCPN (Maoist)’s central general convention organizing committee.
