Madheshi outfit blames police of plotting to foil peace talks
BANKE: Janatantrik Tarai-Madhes Mukti Party, an armed outfit operating violent activities in southern plain, is holding talks with the government by quitting its criminal activities, has accused the police administration of plotting to derail the peace talks by arresting the party cadres.
Organizing a press meet here today, Chairman of the Party Bhagat Singh said that his party has not carried out any criminal activities after the beginning of the peace talks with the government.
He claimed that police arrested at least seven cadres on the charge of their involvement on a youth’s abduction.
Sukhi Loniya, Sushi Barma, Mahesh Pasi, Tirathram Dhobi, Chhodan Godiya, Rajesh Yadav and Kandhai Yadav were made public by police for kidnapping Bhupendra Singh of Hirminiya-8 of the district.
Singh claimed that the party’s cadres were not involved in the case.
He also said that the party has informed the Minister for Peace and Reconstruction and Minister for Home Affairs regarding the case. RSS
