Locals shutdown market to protest police high handedness
NUWAKOT: Locals of Battar Bazaar here have enforced a market shutdown since the morning today in protest against what they called ‘police highhandedness’ during a clash between them and the police on Tuesday.
The clash took place after police impounded the motorcycle on which three people were riding. Six people, including four policemen, were injured in the clash that took place in course of a routine police checking. The locals are calling for an apology from the police.
Police have taken four youths under control in this connection. RSS
