Leader Poudel lashes out at Maoist and Madhesi Front
Nepali Congress (NC) Vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel has said that consensus has been elusive with the Unified CPN (Maoist) and Madhesi Front in the majority.
Inaugurating at a program in Kawaswoti on Saturday, leader Poudel said the Maoist’s greed for power and tendency to blame other parties have been the stumbling block to consensus.
The country has witnessed instability for the NC not having a majority, he claimed, adding, “Had the NC received majority in the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections, the country would have received a new constitution and thereby democracy would have been consolidated.”
He also accused the UCPN (Maoist) and Madhesi Morcha of constraining the NC’s bid to build a federal republican Nepal by including all languages and cultures.
