Korean Monk pledges to disseminate information in VLY-2012 in his order
SEOUL: A talk programme on ‘Lumbini Nepal and Korean Buddhism’ was recently organized in the Capital of South Korea with a view to promoting the Visit Lumbini-2012.
On the occasion, Korean senior monk Hye Leong pledged to disseminate information about Visit Lumbini campaign and encouraged all his followers in 120 monasteries, the university, schools and social organizations under the Jin Gak order to visit Lumbini.
He further said that the relations between Nepalis and Korean Buddhism could be further enhanced through spreading message of compassion, harmonious relations among human beings, and stressed on the attainment of peace through spiritualism.
Monks representing Indonesia and India shed light on the importance of Lumbini at the programme jointly organized by the Embassy of Nepal and Visit Lumbini Year-2012, South Korea Subcommittee.
On the occasion, Charge d’ affairs Rajaram Bartaula handed over symbol of Lumbini to all participating monks, according to the Nepal Tourism Board. RSS
