Koirala says Bhattarai has to step down
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala has said that the prime minister will have to resign if he fails to conclude the army integration by the second week of April as promised.
Koirala, accused the PM and the Maoist of hindering the army integration process and the constitution writing process, by extension while speaking at a press conference in Dhanusha organized Press Union Nepal on Tuesday.
He said that NC would form the next government and take both process to its logical conclusion if the present government fails to do so.
“PM does not have other alternative than to resign,” said that PM calling on the government to meet the army integration deadline.
On the occasion, he also accused the government and the ruling Maoist of breaching the seven point deal in integrating the PLAs.
In a different context, Koirala once again denounced the directly elected Presidential and Prime Ministerial forms of governance and advocated legislative elected PM system.
Vice President of the party, Ram Chandra Paudel, accused the Maoists of exhibiting dual character in concluding peace and constitution writing process.
In a different context he said that his party was not in favor promulgating a constitution without federalism.
