Koirala meets Yadav to garner support for govt leadership
Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala has met Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF)-Nepal Chairperson Upendra Yadav at the former’s residence Maharajgunj on Friday in a bid to solicit latter’s support for the Congress led government.
During the meeting, Koirala has sought Yadav’s support for Congress leadership in forming national consensus government. In response, Yadav has said that he could support Congress if it comes clear on the issue of Madhes, federalism and content of the constitution, an aide of Koirala told.
Talking to media persons after the meeting, Yadav expressed the view that emphasis should be given for the formation of a national consensus government as outlet of the political crisis would not be found from the government.
Yadav also demanded Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai to quit for paving the way for national consensus government.
