Khanal warns to hit the streets ‘if government dared to bring budget without consensus’

CPN UML Chairman Jhalnath KhanalKATHMANDU: Chairman of the CPN-UML, Jhalanath Khanal  has pointed out the need of changing the unconstitutional government soon as the country could not remain without government for a long time.

Khanal made this remark while talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport today.

Stating that the CPN-UML has given priority to formation of a national consensus government, Khanal expressed the view that firstly the Prime Minister should tender his resignation and consensus will be forged among political parties on other issues for the same.

Former Prime Minister Khanal stressed on moving ahead at present by political parties in a new way as the latest statement of the Prime Minister has spoiled the environment of trust among political parties.

Responding to a query, he said that parties other than the Maoist party will lead the new consensus government.

Stating that the CPN-UML will counter if a complete budget was brought without consensus, Khanal stressed on bringing the budget by forging consensus among political parties to make Nepali economy dynamic.

He added that Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai has no right to stick to the chair by pushing the country into crisis. RSS
