Khanal says will grill janjati leaders ‘if they dont follow party line’
KATHMANDU: Chairman of CPN UML Jhalnath Khanal has claimed that the party will leave no stone unturned to appease party’s janjati leaders and has also warned to take action against them if they do not heed party’s efforts.
Speaking at a press conference organized to make public the decision made by party’s national level cadres gathering that concluded on Tuesday, Khanal said that the party will hold talks with dissident janjati leaders to gather consensus in favor of multi-ethnic identity based federalism.
He claimed that the gathering has specifically ruled out the possibility for an unitary identity federalism.
In a different note, Khanal said that his party will sit for talks with the government only after the PM tenders resignation.
Furthermore, Khanal asserted that the ongoing agitation against the government will continue unless the PM steps down and paves way to form national consensus government.
