KC rules out possibility of CA election with ethnic agenda
Rastriya Janamorcha Nepal’s Chairperson Chitra Bahadur KC has ruled out the possibility of national consensus until the parties shun the agenda of ethnic federalism. He also claimed that the slogan of ethnicity will further polarize the national politics while making efforts for forging national consensus.
Speaking at a program in Kanchanpur on Friday, KC, a leader who has been opposing federalism, said the election of the Constituent Assembly was also not possible unless the major parties give up the ethnic issue.
Claiming that there is no possibility of ethic state in a multi-ethnic country, KC said some parties which spoil social goodwill have been raising the ethnic issues. He called on unity between partners of the 2062-63 BS movement for the formation of a national government.
He also accused the government of being indulged into corruption. “The main ruling party Maoist is reluctant to leave the government and Madhes based parties are no more different than the Maoist,” KC argued.
