Kami Rita Sherpa sets world record for most ascent of Mt Everest
KATHMANDU: Kami Rita Sherpa today successfully scaled Sagarmatha (Mount Everest) 22nd times setting a world record for most ascents of Everest (male).
He reached atop the world’s highest peak (8848 meters) at 8:30 am. More than 60 mountaineers including Sherpa successfully climbed Mt Everest so far since the beginning of spring climbing season this year, said contact officer at the base camp Gyanendra Shrestha.
