Journalist mark World Press Freedom Day

KATHMANDU: A morning rally was organized here today on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day. The morning rally, organized by the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Kavre chapter, started from local Tindobato and converged into a corner assembly at local Chardobato after encircling different places of the city.

On the occasion, journalists complained that they were receiving threats and were attacked and accused the government of not taking action to the guilty.

President of the FNJ, Kavre chapter, Mahesh Paudel urged the government for implementation of the previous commitments made with journalists.

Similarly, representatives of Nepal Press Union, Press Chautari Nepal and Revolutionary Journalists’ Association stressed for the professional security of the media persons. RSS
