Janamorcha closes down capital, 45 enforcers detained
KATHMANDU: Police arrested at least 45 activists of Rastriya Janamorcha, who have enforced Bagmati shutdown protesting federalism with demand for timely promulgation of constitution, this morning.
Janamorcha cadres were taken under control from Kalanki, Balaju and Gongobu today, said party office secretary Manoj Bhatta.
Police caught seven persons while the latter were attempting to vandalize a taxi and also held those trying to create horror in other parts, said Police Control Room.
Vehicular movement of public means of transport has been brought to a grinding halt while vehicles belonging to media and diplomatic mission and ambulances are plying.
Janamorcha has put forward various demands including end to inflation, load-shedding, artificial shortage of petroleum products, corruption control and addressing impunity.
Bagmati shutdown is a part of the phase-wise struggle waged by Janamorcha across the country. RSS
