Israeli agro technology useful for Nepal: Yadav
KATHMANDU: Minister of State for Labour and Cooperatives Om Prakash Yadav has said Nepal could learn much from the progress in modernization of agriculture and rural areas, and there is a need to utilize this in the country learning from abroad.
Speaking at a programme organized Friday by Israeli Ambassador Hanan Goder to mark the first anniversary of the tomato farm based on Israeli agro- technology, he said Israeli agriculture technology was useful for Nepal.
He said we can create ways for income generation in Nepal through agriculture by ending the decreasing attraction of youths in agriculture.
Israeli Ambassador Goder said Israeli agro -technology is suitable for Nepal’s soil and will be fruitful for Nepal’s economic prosperity.
On the occasion, a tomato plant giving 25 kg of production in the Maha Tomato Farm established by comedians Madankrishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya was exhibited.
Present in the programme were former ministers, CA members, farm’s senior officers and heads of diplomatic missions here. RSS
