Irate NEFIN supporters burn census report

KATHMANDU:
The Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) supporters have burned the copies of the national census report of 2011 protesting against the report claiming that it to be faulty and intentionally leaving out some ethnic groups from enlisting before the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) office at Kathmandu.
NEFIN has also
President of NEFIN Raj Kumar Lekhi said a month-long protest programme has begun across the country in protest against the act of leaving out ethnic groups from the census.
The NEFIN also handed over today a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister to Director General of the Central Bureau of Statistics Uttam Narayan Malla. The team led by NEFIN General Secretary Angkaji Sherpa handed over the memorandum following a sit-in and sloganeering at the CBS premises at Thapathali.
