Inferno guts property worth millions

KATHMANDU: Property worth millions of rupees has turned into ashes with the outbreak of fire in Jhapa last night. Physical materials including clothes, food stuffs worth around Rs 600,000 gutted when fire broke out from a tin-corrugated wooden house of Sumitra Gurung of Damak-10, police confirmed.
Likewise, the fire destroyed the property of Buddhi Shrestha, a tenant of the same house. The fire was doused with the collective effort by locals, Nepal Police and Armed Police within one hour of outbreak. No human casualty was reported in the district. RSS
