Indian national arrested with bundles of lottery coupons

JHAPA: An Indian national has been arrested by the police along with bundles of lottery coupons. He is Mohammad Ansaul from Darjeeling of West Bengal, India.
The ward police at Bhandarpur- 6 confirmed the arrest near from Bhanunagar and confiscation of 120 bundles of lottery coupons bearing the names of West Bengal and Nagaland State Companies from his possession. Ward Police Inspector Yam Kumar Shrestha said the number of people involved in the trading of Indian lottery tickets along the Nepal-India border market in Jhapa was on the rise. The trading of Indian lottery is banned in Nepal. The Lottery Act- 2025 BS (1968) requires the permission from the Nepal Government to do the lottery business.
