Home Secretary level talks between Nepal and India postponed

KATHMANDU: The home secretary level talks between Nepal and India slated to be held in the Capital from Thursday has been postponed as Indian side expressed their inability to attend the meeting.

The Home Ministry had made all the preparations for the meeting scheduled to being from Thursday. The meetings scheduled for March 14 and 15 have been postponed until further notice, said Shankar Koirala, joint secretary and spokesman at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

He informed that the meet was postponed after the Indian side expressed their inability to attend the meeting due to unavoidable circumstances. According to some close source at the Ministry of Home Affairs Indian side could not come for the meeting due to ongoing political uncertainty in Nepal.
