Gurkhas urge British PM, DPM for justice
Dharma Raj Adhikari: Former Gurkhas who have been fighting for equal rights in London have stepped out of their ‘diplomatic way’ and called on British Prime and Deputy Prime Minister for delivering justice to them.
A delegation headed by Nepal Ex Soldiers Association (NESA) had presented its demand to the British government for the first time through Conservative lawmaker Damin Collins.
The delegation handed over letters addressed to both PM David Cameroon and DPM Nick Clegg to Collins at Conservative office on Friday.
While handing over the letters, NESA President had urged Collins for not creating environment for the Gurkhas to take to streets for acquiring justice.
The letter has demanded equal pensions to ex-Gurkha soldiers, regarding the reduction of Gurkha soldiers and problems related to those who have crossed 18 years.
