Government puts indefinite bar on alcohol sale in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Amid wide held fears on the fate of the CA and the new constitution, government on Sunday has imposed an indefinite restriction on the sale of alcoholic beverages and liquors in the capital.

The district administration office of the capital issued a statement restricting the sale of liquors from 5 pm today onwards until further notice.

Administration has claimed that the decision was taken for controlling any untoward situation in the country. Meanwhile security condition in the capital has been tightened.

While 6500 security personals have been deployed in the capital other security forces including Nepal Army, Armed Police Force across the country have been put on high alert.
