Government approves employees’ quota for local levels
KATHMANDU: The government has approved the employee’s quota for the interim structure of the local levels.
The Cabinet meeting held Wednesday evening approved the quotas for 57,354 employees- both technical and administrative categories- to be mobilized in 830 local levels (including 55 district coordination committees), said Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, Gokul Baskota.
Similarly, the meeting curtailed the number of employee’s quota under the federal ministries. As per the decision, the number of employees currently existing at 3,260 would be reduced to 2,654. It is the decrease by 18.59 percent.
Similarly, the Minister of State said the government passed the service delivery arrangement at local level 2074. A model law would be formulated and sent to the local and provincial levels for the facilitation.
The government is to accept Rs 686 million to be provided by the Japanese government under the economic and social programme.
Foreign Minister Pradip Gyawali’s visit to Thailand and Minister for Water Resource Barshman Pun’s visit to Azerbaijan has been approved by the meeting.
Dr Dibya Singh Saha and Dilip Sharma have been appointed as specialist doctors to the Cabinet with incentives equal to high level officials. RSS
