Gajurel says Bhattarai should be forced to resign
KATHMANDU: Acting Chairman of the CPN-Maoist CP Gajurel has said that there is no possibility of party unification between two parties as his party would not return to the Prachandapath of the mother party, UCPN- Maoist.
Speaking at the face-to-face programme organized by the Reporters Club Nepal on Wednesday, Gajurel said “We do not go back to Prachandapath, we have already built our own path.” He made it clear that there would be no unity with the mother party as it has taken a submissive path by leaving aside the class and social basis.
He asked, “Where is the word ‘people’s war’ lost in the political report presented by Chairman Prachanda in the extended meeting of the UCPN-Maoist?”
Gajurel said, “Perhaps Prachanda ji has called the meeting to change his line, but it does not make any sense to us.”
He said Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai should tender his resignation on moral grounds, and warned otherwise, he would be sacked from his post from political movement.
On another context, he said party chairman Mohan Baidya has gone to China for expanding party relations at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party.
At the programme, CPN-UML Central Member Bhim Rawal said his party had not decided whether to reinstate CA or to go for new elections, and added the PM should pave way for consensus government by tendering resignation. RSS
