Fire destroys seven houses in Achham, Far-west Nepal

ACHHAM: Seven houses were destroyed in a fire on Friday evening at Balanta of Dhakari rural municipality-4 in Achham, Far-west Nepal.
The fire made to burn the wheat straw in the field spread further by a wind and it caught the houses of ward chair Bhakta Bahadur Budha, Indra Budha, Min Bahadur Budha, Jogi Budha, Ruja Budha, Nyanu Budha, and Dharma Budha. The houses were completely destroyed in the fire, according to a local Padam Budha.
The fire also killed 60 goats and a pair of ox, the District Police Office, Achham confirmed. The preliminary investigation shows that the fire caused the loss of property worth Rs 160 million. The fire was taken under control at 11:00 pm with the help of security personnel and the locals.
