Fatal road accident claims lives of four including a SP

JANAKPUR:
Four people including a Superintendent of Armed Police Force (SP) died in a road accident at Naktajhij VDC of Dhanuasha along the Janakpur-Dhalkewar road section on Friday night.

SP Bishnukant Pathak deputed at Bardibas-based Chhinnamasta Battalion, Mahottari along with other three APF personnels have died when the APF van (BA1JHA5987) bound to Bardibas from Janakpur collided with a school bus (NA2KHA 5940) returning from a educational tour.

The other died in the accident have been identified as Sub Inspector Kumar Dahal, Van’s driver Babalu Lama and Bikram Shahi.

Pathak and Dahal died on the spot whereas Lama and Shahi have died on the way to Dharan for the treatment.
Similarly, one dozen students and a teacher have been injured in the accident. The Police is yet to ascertain the reason behind the accident.
