Far-western Nepal closed demanding One-Far-West
DHANGADI: At a time when top leaders of the major political parties have been holding marathon discussions on state restructuring to resolve the issue, people of the far-west region have launched agitations demanding an indivisible far-west region.
They have called strike for indefinite period in far-west region from today as part of their agitation programmes.
Normal life in different districts of the region has been affected as transport services, industries and educational institutions have been shut down.
Cadres of different political parties, entrepreneurs and locals have staging protest by chanting slogan in favor of the indivisible far-west.
Banda enforcers said that they were compelled to launch the agitations to protest the proposal recently floated by the UCPN-Maoist that aims to split the far-west. On Thursday, the Maoist party proposed the 10-province model on state-restructuring. RSS
