Family members of NA man Kandel file complaint against Dhakal
CHITWAN: The family members of Nepal Army man, who was said to have committed suicide after jumping from a temporary police post at Phisling of Ichchhakamana rural municipality-3, have filed a complaint alleging that he had murdered. The FIR has been registerd against police person, Thakur Dhakal, working at temporary police post, Phisling.
The family members filed complaint against Dhakal after suspecting his involvement in the alleged murder of the NA man.
Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Dan Bahadur Malla, said that investigation was underway by taking Dhakal under control. Police shared that Ram Kandel, 28, of Ichchhakamana-5, was injured after jumping from a veranda of the temporary police post at 5:00 am today.
Injured Kandel died in course of treatment at Bharatpur Hospital. Locals had obstructed Prithvi highway for three hours, saying Kandel was murdered. The body has been taken to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for a post-mortem.
Police said that Kandel was taken under control after he quarreled at Phisling area Sunday morning and injured after he jumped from the veranda of lower floor of the police post. Kandel was posted at Barda Bahadur Battalion, Sindhuli.
A Nepal Army person who was apprehended by the police yesterday morning for an offence died in his failed attempt to escape the confinement. The deceased has been identified as Ram Kandel, 28, of Ichchhamanakamana rural municipality-5 and was associated with the NA Bardha Bahadur battalion, Sindhuli.
According to the police report, he was severely injured in his failed to run away from the police confinement by jumping from barandah of the temporary police beat at Fisling of Ichchhamanakamana rural municipality-3. At the time of disputes, he had drunk, it is said. He had been at the home leave.
According to the police, he had disputes with the police as the later intervened him as he tried to misbehave with woman while returning home from a local religious Ichhakamana fair.
He breathed his last in course of treatment at Bharatpur Hospital this morning itself, Superintendent of Police Dan Bahadur Malla said. The two police personnel have been arrested for further investigations into the case.
