CPN UML Chairman Jhalnath KhanalJANAKPURDHAM: Chairman of the CPN-UML, Jhalanath Khanal, has said the election announced for November 22 by the Prime Minister was just a tactic to stick to power.

At a zonal level orientation organized for the party cadres in Janakpur today, Chairman Khanal said there were no conditions to hold election on November 22. So, it was a ploy to retain power, he argued.

At a time there was no alternative to the national consensus, the arbitrary decision of the Prime Minister was neither political nor constitution, he said.

Moreover, Chairman Khanal said the proposal of one Madhes, one province floated by Madhesi Morcha would split the country. He, further, said it was a sponsored demand. RSS
