Don’t belittle constitution for political gain: Rabindra Mishra

GORKHA: Central coordinator of the Sajha Party, Rabindra Mishra, has said it was wrong to blame constitution for political gain.
At a programme organized at the district headquarters of Gorkha on Friday, central coordinator Mishra wondered why the leaders involved in writing constitution were protesting the constitution at present. “Some of those writing the new constitution began protesting it immediately after its promulgation. It has been just four years we got new constitution. So, it’s wrong to belittle the new constitution for one’s political interest,” he underscored.
He, however, said the implementation of constitution was not effective. Political parties were engaged in minor issues by ignoring people’s aspiration, which, he argued, slowed the implementation of the constitution.
Central coordinator Mishra further said weakness of the constitution could be corrected rather than making efforts to subvert it. Only street agitation would not contribute to people’s aspiration for development and prosperity, he observed.
