Dissenting tradition, daughter performs last rites of her father
JAJARKOT: In a break away from tradition, a daughter here performed the death rituals of her father.
Pampha Gharti of local Punma VDC-3 has been observing the obsequies of her father Bishne Gharti who died few days back at the age of 74.
It is customary that only the sons perform the funeral rites of their parents. Sixteen years Old Pampha has no brothers and she said that she is performing the rituals as her father had asked her to perform his death rituals before he died. RSS
