Dissenters won’t affect peace and constitution talks
KATHMANDU, April 2: Unified CPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said no compromises would be made with anyone on the issue of peace and constitution.
Speaking in a training organized for the cadres of the Newa State Committee of the party today, he said the faction in the party that is against taking the peace and constitution to logical conclusion does not have any notable place in the party and underlined the need for waging a struggle against those elements.
The UCPN (Maoist) chairman said since the peace process was headed towards conclusion and the works related to constitution writing have also reached the final stages, the protest by the Mohan Baidya faction in the party would hold no water.
Stating that works concerning the integration of combatants would proceed towards completion beginning today, he said from tomorrow on they would vigorously work for the constitution writing. He added that the internal ideological dispute of the party would be resolved through mutual understanding.
More than 400 cadres of the Newa State Committee are attending the political training. RSS
