Deuba faction denies to join Bhattarai govt
A meeting of leaders associated with the faction in the leadership of senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba took such a decision after concluding that the party leadership trampled party’s regulation on Saturday while sending two ministerial candidates from the party to join the government on Saturday.
“Parties representation in the government has been determined unilaterally and agains the party’s statute. We object against it,” said party’s Central Committee member Min Bishwakarma.
Bishwarkarma informed that the decision of sending ministers to the government should be done by the Parliamentary Board of the party and if it is not formed it should be done by the CC.
Earlier party president Sushil Koirala has invited the Deuba faction CC members to pick up party’s candidate to join the government. The meeting was boycotted by the Deuba faction. However, Koirala had picked up two candidates after holding informal decision with present CC members.
