Delegation row triggers clash in the Dash Maoist’s convention

KATHMANDU:
The clash between the cadres of the Dash Maoist has delayed the closed session of the Convention for three hours. The fighting between the cadres ensued at National Academy, the venue of the convention, this morning after some delegates of the convention from Bhojpura State Committtee were denied of entry inside the convention hall.
The disputes took violent turn after Rautahat District In-charge Rasid Ansari attacked Assistant Secretary of Bhojpura State Committee Badri Bajgain.
Delegates of the Bhojpura State Committee were denied to enter into the closed session hall when Commiittee’s incharge Ram Acharya, who has put the entry passes, didn’t appear in the convention venue. The angry delegates also protested outside the venue hall.
Meanwhile, Madhes bureau in-charge Hari Bhakta Kandel is holding discussion with the angry delegates and their representatives to resolve the delegation row. CPN-Maoist leader Hitman Shakya informed that the closed session would be resumed after few hours by resolving the delegation row.
The closed session of the convention of CPN (Maoist) is scheduled to hold group discussion on the reports presented by the leadership. The 7th General Convention of the CPN-Maoist, first after the break away from the UCPN (Maoist), has kicked off from yesterday in capital. 12 hundred delegation, 400 observers, 300 volunteers and 100 cultural artistes are participating in the convention.
