Dash Maoist leader Gajurel denies taking up arms

Vice-chairman of the CPN-Maoist, CP Gajurel has said his party would not take up arms right now.
Speaking at a press conference organized by Revolutionary Journalists’ Association in Gaighat, today, he warned that his party would be compelled to take up arms if the Unified CPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), and Madhes based political parties alone sign any agreement bypassing their party.
The agreement signed by the major parties without recognizing the CPN-Maoist will not be acceptable to them, he added.
He said President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav’s efforts towards finding a political way out by calling on the government alliance and other political parties would be in vain.
CPN-Maoist leader Gajurel accused Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and Madhes based political parties of being reluctant to give up the power.
